» For you were called to freedom, brethren; only {do} not {turn} your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the {statement,} «YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.»(Ga.5:13,14)

Over the years I have frequently made the obsevation that anyone who could not get along with my wife has a problem. She is the most people-oriented, genuinely loving and caring person I have ever known. She has a rare capacity to establish rapport immediately and get on familiar ground soon thereafter. She has such a beautiful laugh, and her whole countenance lights up as she talks with people. This is true whether she’s talking to person who is struggling for survival or whether she’s dealing with a celebrity.
This morning her love for people was emphasised when an immigrant who had told her he was going back to India presented her with a gift. The gift was inexpensive, but it spoke volumes about his appreciation to her for being kind, thoughful, and considerate to him. She protested, but he just reiterated that her kindness and pleasentness to him made him simply want to give her a token of remembrance.
My wife and I just celebrated our fiftieth honeymoon and I can remember few gifts of any kind, value, or size which she has received with as much pleasure as this gift from an impoverished immigrant. She was genuinely moved. This genuine graciousness is one reason I love her ans why she is so popular with everyone she meets.
